The second generation Savanna RX-7, the FC3S, was introduced in October 1985 as a fully redesigned version of the previous generation SA22C. The completely redesigned FC3S inherited the glamorous body with blister fenders and traditional retractable headlights, and the suspension evolved to a four-wheel independent suspension with front struts and rear multi-links. The engine was a 13B-T twin-scroll turbo with intercooler, and it gained popularity as a sports machine that combined sharp handling with high power.
